At last, I reached the building at 555 California. I was going to meet
my friend Mahmood Virani on the 44th floor.
The Bank of America building at 555 California street was the tallest
building west of the Mississippi River from 1969-1972 until it was
surpassed by the Transamerica Pyramid, which we'll see in a few photos.
