The Pig Who Would Fuck Anything
"Recall that the difficulty with most writers is that they don't think it's necessary to let their readers know how to read their stories in the first place, so I'm doing that now, as a matter of responsibility...I'd like to say that while I've tried to follow the principles of the main character in this story as much as I can, I've not always been able to do so. But this story does express values which one hopes will be inherited by one's children, and so you could let your new baby hear this story when he's old enough, and hope for the best."
The Pig Who Would Fuck Anything is story Klarner wrote. In September 1996 he made a cassette tape recording of the story and sent it to me in the mail. I had received a photocopy of the story (in Klarner's calligraphy, above) from him before that. I've converted Klarner's recording to QuickTime (audio only). The story is about 8 and 1/2 minutes long, including a one minute introduction. The introduction refers in part to this letter. Click here to listen to it now (512K, MP3). |
