Structured Arts Announces Production Shipments of CertKit^TM SSL Security Toolkit

Secure Sockets Layer Toolkit benefits from 4 month beta involving over 35 companies

PALO ALTO, CALIF., June 8, 1999: Structured Arts announced today that it has completed first customer release shipments of its Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Add-On for its CertKit^TM X.509 digital certificate toolkit.

"Over 35 companies in the ISV, Internet services, and VPN spaces participated in two beta drops of CertKit SSL," said Dr. Thane Plambeck, President and CEO of Structured Arts. "We were pleased to close several sales of our SSL product while it was still in beta in the middleware, Internet services, and ISV marketplaces."

CertKit SSL, a complete, stand alone, fully programmer-accessible implementation of the Secure Sockets Layer protocol, is written in fully object-oriented C++. CertKit SSL is built on top of the Structured Arts flagship CertKit X.509 digital certificate library, which it includes in its entirety.
